FACC has delivered the first translating sleeves as part of a contract with Goodrich to design, develop and manufacture these engine nacelle components for the Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. This first shipment will be used as engine development units and will run through numerous tests on engine test benches at Rolls-Royce's facility in Derby, England. First flight of the A350 XWB is scheduled for 2012.

On July 16th 2009 the new homepage of AAI was released to the public. It has been relaunched technically - with a flexible Content Management System (CMS) realised by AAI member HiCo - graphically and also the content was enlarged. So a comprehensive presentation of the Austrian Aeronautics/Supply/Industry, its companies, products and competencies can now be discovered interactively on the new website.
