On July 16th 2009 the new homepage of AAI was released to the public. It has been relaunched technically - with a flexible Content Management System (CMS) realised by AAI member HiCo - graphically and also the content was enlarged. So a comprehensive presentation of the Austrian Aeronautics/Supply/Industry, its companies, products and competencies can now be discovered interactively on the new website. A technical relaunch of the existing AAI homepage was necessary to keep it easily up-to-date in the future. Therefore, AAI decided in December 2008 to use this relaunch for a complete revision of its web presence, including:
Hence, the new homepage is essential for the publicity of AAI in the international aeronautics community and will also be a cornerstone for the internal communication and advanced cooperation within the Austrian Aeronautics/Supply/Industry Cluster, especially with the new members area and the internal forum. Therefore, AAI member HiCo was proud, that the Austrian Aeronautics Industries Group decided in favor of HiCo's Media Design & Production team for realising the relaunch of its website. The HiCo team - that worked in close cooperation with AAI-Manager Raoul Fortner - used the reliable Content Management System "Joomla!" for the technical implementation, so the new system impresses with high usability and user-friendliness. All this technical work was accompanied by the efforts of Mag. Sabine Müller for a coherent graphic design, in which predominantly blue was used, a reference to the sky and the aviation therein. On the occasion of the successful release of the new AAI website, Ronald Fenk from HiCo's Media Design & Production Department declared: "I am glad and proud, that the Austrian Aeronautics Industries Group chose HiCo for the relaunch of their website. Our experience and competence and the uncomplicated and easy cooperation with our new customer was the key to the fast and efficient handling of this project." During summer 2009, the new website is now passing through a public testing phase, so that all newly introduced elements - like news, events, advanced content as members forum and other new extensions - can be finished and released stepwise till autumn. |
